Colors all over the world

Every year, millions of people in India and around the world celebrate under clouds of colored powder the Hindu festival of “Holi”.

Holi is an ancient religious Hindu festival where the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring and the end of winter are celebrated. For many it is a festive day to meet up with loved ones, celebrate together and have fun.

In recent years the festival has also become popular in communities outside of Asia, it has spread to parts of Europe and North America as a spring celebration of love, fun and Colors.

Holi lasts for one night and one day, it takes place on the last full moon of the Hindu lunar month. Holi, therefore, falls somewhere between the end of February and the middle of March in the Gregorian calendar – this year it’s March 1st and 2nd.

We wish you a happy and peaceful Holi!
