Happy Thanksgiving

In the United States, Thanksgiving Day is traditionally celebrated every year on the fourth Thursday in November – which is today – Happy Thanksgiving!

Originally, this feast was a religious custom to thank God for a successful harvest. It is mainly celebrated in North America, but like so many other traditions, the spirit of Thanksgiving is spreading overseas more and more.

In the United States Thanksgiving is one of the most important family celebrations and is basically a huge get together for the whole family and friends.
And, as is the case with many other holidays, an important aspect of Thanksgiving is the food! As an homage to the pilgrims who settled on the American continent in the early 17th Century, traditional Thanksgiving food includes roast turkey with stuffing served with cranberry relish, various squashes, and pumpkin pie (or any other pie for that matter).

When we think about Thanksgiving, we also think about the huge Thanksgiving Day Parades with giant colorful balloons, marching bands, and lots of fun, or the traditional American football game. If you haven’t already experienced the Thanksgiving Day madness in the States yourself, it is definitely worth the trip.

But even if you’re not going to celebrate this day the “American way”, we all should be thankful for something:

Like our family and friends, our health and all the opportunities that are given to us.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our customers and partners for their loyalty and for successful cooperation over the years. And of course we would like to thank you for reading this post. 😉

By the way: You can also experience Thanksgiving Day in Canada, but be careful: In Canada it is celebrated on the second Monday in October.
