Eurythmy Part 1
The word eurythmy stems from the Greek work ‘Eurhythmos’ meaning beautiful or harmonious rhythm.
It`s a special kind of communication because its main focus is on expression and movement.
It was developed by Rudolf Steiner und Lori Maier-Smits between 1912 and 1924.
Eurythmy is a kind of expressionist art, a sign language that tries to utilise and unite the elements of language and music.
There are many forms of eurythmy, also known as choreography, from simple to complex, from those relating to poems to those based on musicals, and the aim of an education in eurythmy is to master all of these variations.
