International Day of Non-Violence

This day, October 2nd , is the World Day of Non-Violence. Unfortunately many men, women and children are confronted with violence – and many of them don’t see any way out of their desperate situation. This day was set in honor of Mahatma Gandhi to his birthday in 1869. He was the leader of the Indian independence movement. In his position, he stood for a peaceful democracy and a non-violent society.
